This is a private Eco Tour that takes you to Jozani Forest, where you can observe the rare red colobus monkeys, explore various plantations, and stroll along a mangrove boardwalk.
After visiting Jozani, we will head to Mungoni and Pete Villages, where you’ll have the opportunity to meet the locals and learn about their culture and daily activities. You’ll see how they grind millet with mortar and pestle, thatch coconut palms, create local handicrafts, and much more. Additionally, we will take a ride on one of the wooden boats used for transportation between Mungoni and Pete.
Finally, you’ll relax at one of the best beaches in Zanzibar, Mtende Beach, located in the south of the island, known for its breathtaking views that words cannot fully capture.

Jozani Forest National Park is the only national park in Zanzibar. It is famous for its Red Colobus monkeys, which are among the rare species that can be easily found in Zanzibar.
In addition to the Red Colobus monkeys, Jozani is home to Sykes monkeys, bushbabies, over 50 species of butterflies, and 40 species of birds. The butterflies and birds are primarily visible in the early morning or evening.
The forest also features various types of plantations, which are utilized for different purposes, including medicinal uses, construction, and furniture creation.
After exploring Jozani Forest, we will take a walk along the Mangrove boardwalk, where you will learn about mangroves and their role in preventing coastal erosion.

Here, you will have the opportunity to learn about Zanzibar’s culture and lifestyle, as well as see the mangroves and various tree species native to the island.

You can enjoy some time during low tide; swimming, capturing photos, and exploring the area. There are also two restaurants nearby: Usumba Restaurant and Eden Rock Restaurant, where you can grab a meal if you’d like.
